Dein joins ‘Future of Football’ conference

David Dein, the former vice-chairman of Arsenal FC, will discuss football club ownership issues with a distinguished panel at the flagship ‘Future of Football’ conference in London in four weeks time.

Dein will debate the latest issues in relation to football club ownership with Randy Lerner, owner of Aston Villa, and Keith Harris, chairman of investment bank Seymour Pierce.

Following a keynote speech by Harris, the panel will discuss why the clubs are so attractive, different models of ownership, the risks associated with investing and how the new investors believe they can add value to the clubs.

After leaving Arsenal in April this year, Dein sold his stake in the club and became Chairman of Red and White Holdings, a company which has recently increased its share in Arsenal to 23 per cent.

The ‘Future of Football’ Conference will also discuss some of the game’s major topics on the field. Sir Alex Ferguson, Sam Allardyce, Alan Curbishley and Lawrie Sanchez will be part of a panel focusing on how best to maximize talent, with leading American sports figure Billy Beane offering a different perspective.
