Maven Strategies claimed that the Cleveland Cavaliers star selected the company to launch the new project, ‘The LeBron James Experience’, a 25-city tour.
Maven said in a press release that they would help ’secure sponsors for the networking events, which will attract young professionals, local celebrities and fans.’
However, Fred Nance, counsel for James and LRMR Innovative Marketing & Branding, has responded by stating, “There is not and never has been a business relationship or agreement between LeBron James and/or LRMR and Maven Strategies.”
Nance concluded, “We are taking appropriate and immediate measures to ensure that Maven Strategies discontinues using LeBron James' name; and we anticipate Maven Strategies' cooperation in that regard.”
