Weber Shandwick takes on Snowsport GB account

Snowsport GB, the umbrella organisation for snowsports in the UK, has appointed public relations firm Weber Shandwick to raise awareness of winter sports and attract increased sponsorship revenues.

According to ‘The Scotsman’, the firm has been appointed to grow national support for this winter's International Ski Federation World Cup, Europa Cup and other international competitions.

The events culminate with the British Championships in Meribel, France, in April.
"We are looking forward to getting behind the team, and encouraging the British public, and sponsors, to do the same," said Lesley Clark, director of Weber Shandwick's Edinburgh office

Weber Shandwick beat two ‘niche sports consultancies’ to secure the account, The Scotsman said.
