The ruling means that Audiovisual Sport, Sogecable’s company for the exploitation of football rights, will distribute these rights.
The ruling expressly forbids Mediapro from any exploitation of the audiovisual rights rolled into AVS during the 2007/2008 season. Specifically, this means the rights of Real Rácing Club, Athletic Club, Real Zaragoza, Valencia, Villareal, Levante and Sevilla.
The ruling also includes the remaining club rights ‘legally belonging to AVS’. These are Real Madrid, Deportivo Mallorca, Barcelona, Real Valladolid, Deportiva Almería, Real Betis, Balompié., Recreativo de Huelva, Osasuna, Atlético Madrid, Espanyol, Deportivo Coruña and Getafe.
The court ruled that all the costs of the legal case must be paid by Mediapro.
