CBSSports.com leads consumption metrics

CBSSports.com, part of CBS Interactive, led all major sports sites in ‘visits per person’ and ‘time per person’ for the month of September, according to data from Nielsen//NetRatings.

The results marks the sixth consecutive month that CBSSports.com has led all major sports sites in the two consumption metrics. Since rebranding the service CBSSports.com in August, users to the site have increased by 27 per cent, the online sports content brand said.

Jason Kint, senior VP and general manager ofCBSSports.com attributed the growth to better NFL and College Football coverage along with better integration with CBS Sports Mobile and TV platforms.

The CBS Sports Mobile Web site (wap.cbssports.com) also saw strong growth with total unique visitors up by 280 per cent for September compared to the same period last year.
