Nationwide to Sponsor Nascar’s Number 2 series

Nationwide Insurance agreed a seven-year deal reported to be worth between $70 million and $80 million to become the title sponsor of Nascar’s Number 2 series, formerly known as the Busch Series.

The series will be known as the Nascar Nationwide Series from 2008. The deal was brokered by Wasserman Media Group.

The Busch Series has been sponsored by Anheuser-Busch for 26 years, but the company decided last year not to renew as it restructured its sports sponsorship commitments.
