Six times world title holder Anna Hemmings to champion the Future for Women’s Sport

Fresh from her return to the UK after winning her 6th world championship medal, British canoeist Anna Hemmings has announced her role, alongside other leading female athletes, in the upcoming Future for Women’s Sport Conference to be held in November.

‘The Future for Women’s Sport conference is such a fantastic initiative and a wonderful opportunity to inspire and create possibilities for young women in sport. I look forward to discussing and promoting the various ideas,’ Anna said.

The SportBusiness Conference, in association with The Women’s Sports Foundation will be held at the Emirates Stadium on November 15th. For the first time, this conference will bring together the commercial and administrative side of women’s sport to consider how to raise the game.

In addition to contributions from policy makers and leading figures in women’s sport, this conference will focus around three important areas:

What are the key challenges in raising participation?
What will women’s sports participation look like in 2012 and 2020?
