The agreement will establish American as the NFL team’s ‘official airline’ and provide a wide range of marketing and promotional opportunities at both Texas Stadium and the new stadium being built in Arlington, Texas.
Terms of the contract were not disclosed.
Said Jerry Jones, Dallas Cowboys owner and general manager: “This is an outstanding opportunity for us to partner with a local company that is recognised as a leader in the airline industry, and there is nothing we admire more than the success American Airlines has experienced.
"This relationship will also enable American to be uniquely involved in our new stadium, currently under construction in Arlington and set to open in 2009.”
