The deal marks the first time BP has sponsored the NHRA Sport Compact Racing Series and means that the race’s full title will be ‘the Indy NHRA Sport Compact Nationals presented by BP featuring O’Reilly’s ITB presented by Royal Purple’.
“As a first-time presenting sponsor of the NHRA Sport Compact Nationals, BP is excited to partner with a growing motorsports property that embodies power, performance and quality – three components of BP’s high octane premium fuel brand, Amoco Ultimate,” said Kelley Brown, marketing programmes coordinator for BP’s Fuels Marketing.
BP will bring an exhibition to the race as part of its sponsorship, including a tanker designed to demonstrate the efficiency of the Amoco Ultimate brand.
