T-Mobile is expected to announce later today whether it will continue its sponsorship of the ProTour cycling T-Mobile Team.
Deutsche Telekom has sponsored the team since 1991, first under the name Team Telekom, and as T-Mobile Team since 2004.
T-Mobile had said last year that it would extend its deal until the end of the 2010 season. But given cycling’s further raft of bad publicity after this year's Tour de France was hit by several doping scandals, T-Mobile could announce that it will pull out when its contract expires at the end of 2007.
