IOC AWARDS OLYMPIC RIGHTS IN HONG KONG TO I-CABLE

The International Olympic Committee awarded the exclusive rights for Hong Kong for the Olympic Games in Vancouver in 2010 and London in 2012, to i-CABLE.

The IOC also awarded the exclusive internet and mobile phone broadcast rights within Hong Kong to i-CABLE Sports Limited - a subsidiary of i-CABLE - for the 2008 Beijing Games.

"Our aim is to ensure that as many people as possible are able to enjoy the Olympic Games on all broadcast platforms, and we look forward to working closely with i-CABLE to make this possible in Hong Kong," IOC president Jacques Rogge said.
