NOKIA LAUNCHES FIBA MOBILE SERVICES

Nokia is to launch internet-based mobile phone services for FIBA, the international basketball federation.

The service will provide basketball fans with scores, news, schedules, and interviews through ‘Nokia Video Center’, which is available on certain Nokia phones.

As part of the agreement, Nokia will also provide FIBA reporters around the world with multimedia computers to record video, photo and audio content that will be made available on the FIBA mobile websites.

Nokia will be present at many FIBA events this year, including the Olympic Qualifiers EuroBasket in Spain in September 2007, the FIBA Americas championship in Las Vegas in August 2007 and the FIBA U19 World Championship in Novi Sad in July 2007.
