SETANTA SCORES BIGGER DISTRIBUTION IN THE US

Irish broadcast group Setanta signed a deal with EchoStar Communications Dish Network in the US to carry its 24-hour digital sports channel.

Dish Network has 13.4 million subscribers and the deal will almost double Setanta's potential penetration in US homes.

Setanta has US rights for live European football including Premier League matches as well as rugby and other sports. It also has a deal with DirecTV which has 16 million US customers.
