Circuit de la Comunitat Valenciana Ricardo Tormo will host the event, which was a “big success” in 2006, according to BMW Motorsport Director Mario Theissen.
"The drivers, teams, partners and sponsors were really excited about the event, so we are delighted to be returning to Spain this year,” Thiessen said.
“The Team Launch for the BMW Sauber F1 Team took place there at the start of the year, as has Formula One testing. Plus, Valencia is home to the Formula BMW Racing Center, hosts World Touring Car Championship races and formed the backdrop for this year's America's Cup. “
Formula BMW is the world's leading entry-level class in formula racing. This year, Formula BMW appears four times on the Formula One support programme - in Germany, Great Britain, Asia and the USA.
In 2008 Formula BMW Germany and the Formula BMW UK Championship will merge to create Formula BMW Europe. The races in the new combined series will take place largely on the undercard of the European Formula One Grands Prix.
The inaugural World Final took place at the Bahrain International Circuit in December 2005.
