Under the deal, RTR Sport will broadcast Serie A from the 2007-08 season to the 2009-10 season. It is the first time that RTR will broadcast Serie A, previously it was carried on the pay-TV channel NTV Plus.

Every Russian household will be able to enjoy Serie A for the three coming seasons."
Vasily Kiknadze, CEO of RTR Sport said: "Serie A is a great opportunity for us, we are very pleased to be able to bring this top European Football league to all the Russian viewers, showing them the passion and excitement of Italian Football."
Under the agreement, brokered by Acid Sport, RTR Sport will also distribute programming from the Milan Channel in Russia.
