The Venetian hotel will be the Official VIP Hotel, Hospitality Partner and Headquarters Hotel of the 2nd Asian Indoor Games.
Under the agreement The Venetian Macao Resort Hotel will provide accommodation and catering services to OCA and NOC members, VIPs, officials, sport federations delegates and government representatives.
The Venetian Macao Resort Hotel will also be the host venue of the 2nd Asian Indoor Games Closing Ceremony on November 3 2007.
The partnership was signed at a ceremony held with the Olympic Council of Asia (OCA) and the Macao 2007, 2nd Asian Indoor Games Organising Committee (MAIGOC).
“The Venetian Macau Resort Hotel will make a significant contribution and commitment to serve a multitude of functional areas which are integral to the success of the Games including Games Services, Media Services, NOC Services, Marketing, Sponsorship, Corporate Hospitality, Ceremonies and Events,” said OCA Director General and Technical Director Husain Al Musallam.
“This is the first time in the multi-sport organising history of Macao that the main operational and administrative units will be within the Games Headquarters Hotel, including the national Olympic committees’ secretariats and most notably the Media Centre.” added MAIGOC Chairman of Board of Directors Manuel Silvério.
This July, MAIGOC will organise warm up events to the Asian Indoor Games, which will includie an exhibition match against Manchester United.
The Venetian Macao Resort Hotel has signed as an Official Partner of the 2nd Asian Indoor Games to be held this October.
