Businessman Mike Ashley increased his stake in English Premier League club Newcastle United to 93.2 per cent.
The figure allows him to take the club off the stock market, a move that is expected to take place during next month.
Ashley bought a 41.6 per cent stake from the family of Sir John Hall through his company St James Holdings Limited for £55 million and later acquired chairman Freddy Shepherd’s 28 per cent stake.
