Ukraine and Poland are jointly hosting European soccer’s top event and UEFA had earlier expressed concern over delays in renovating Kiev’s main stadium.
But sports minister Viktor Korzh says UEFA can rest easy. He said: “The Olympic stadium will be rebuilt. Considerable funds have been allocated. The stadium will be ready for Euro 2012.
“The government is aware of the problems and are resolving the issues now.”
Concerns were raised over a site next to the stadium which could cause issues when crowds at the 84,000-seater venue left the ground.
