NBA FINALS RATINGS SLUMP

TV ratings for the NBA final between San Antonio Spurs and the Cleveland Cavaliers hit an all-time low, according to Nielsen Media Research.

ABC network’s broadcast of San Antonio’s four games to nil victory drew an average of 6.2 percent of US homes, lower than the previous record of 6.5 percent set in 2003.
"It wasn't good, but you need to see if this starts happening every year,'' said John Mansell, a sports media analyst at John Mansell Associates . "Ratings are down for most sports because of audience fragmentation and that's just a reality.''
The final game of the series drew a 6.5 rating, according to Nielsen.
