SUGAR SELLS TOTTENHAM STAKE TO ENIC

Sir Alan Sugar sold his remaining stake in English Premier League club to majority shareholder, sports and media group Enic, for £25 million.

The deal took Enic's stake to 66 per cent and, under City rules, automatically triggered a similar offer to the remaining shareholders.

Sugar sold most of his shares in Tottenham to ENIC in 2001 and this latest sale, to be completed next month, ends his 16-year association with the club where he was the second largest shareholder.
