ESA TAKES UP THE LONDON 2012 BATON

The European Sponsorship Association (ESA) is set to bring the curtain down on the successful 2007 sponsorship forum series with ‘The Lord of the Rings’ which will be staged in London on Wednesday 27 June.

With speculation rife surrounding the identities of the remaining Tier 1 partners teamed with the IOC’s impending visit to London in a fortnight’s time, the stage is perfectly poised for a content-rich debate about the benefits and opportunities presented by hosting The Games. ESA is pleased to announce a first class line-up of speakers and panellists, including: Antonella Socci, Head of Partnership Delivery, Visa; David Hornby – Commercial Director, Visit London; Mark Scholey, Sponsorship Manager, LOCOG; Adrian Warner – Olympic Correspondent, BBC and Ed Warner – Chairman, UK Athletics.

Richard Moore, Chairman of ESA Training and Education, said: “The sheer number of column inches now devoted to London 2012 demonstrates the potential impact this global event holds across cultural, sporting and commercial bases. To be realised we need to maintain an open dialogue between the key Olympic organisations, commentators and sponsorship industry practitioners – ‘The Lord of the Rings’ promises to provide exactly that.”

‘The Lord of the Rings’ is the final forum of the 2007 ESA series. Bringing sponsors, rights holders, agencies and industry service providers together, the forums address the important issues which affect the sponsorship industry and invite a dynamic exchange of ideas and insights.
