Former Thai Prime Minister Thaksin Shinawatra is reported to be the favourite to close a deal to acquire English Premier League club Manchester City.
Shinawatra’s financial advisers are expected to complete their due diligence on the club this week and will then indicate if they will proceed with a formal bid.
Former Manchester City player Ray Ranson has also made an offer to buy the club.
