The professional Tour of Ireland is making a return some fifteen years after the final Nissan Classic.
The event will be organised and run by the Events Group and Shadetree sports and they have set the target of ensuring that both ProTour and Continental Professional teams will participate.
The organisers are working on brining teams in and have targeted a minimum of ten of the top 30 teams in the world.
The principal event sponsor will be Fáilte Ireland, while others backers include BMW cars and Tipperary Water. More will be confirmed in the coming weeks.
