The agreement also includes the appointment of Glasgow-based facilities provider SMG Solutions, who will work with TWI using their outside broadcast and production kit to relay the race action live.
Lawrence Duffy, TWI’s Head of Sport Development, said: “We are delighted to be working with Fort William World Championships Ltd and SMG to host broadcast what promises to be a spectacular event. Mountain Biking is a modern and dramatic discipline for event spectators and TV audiences alike. We intend to play our part in producing excellent World Championship coverage.”
TWI, the sports production arm of IMG, was last year host broadcaster for both the Melbourne Commonwealth Games and the Doha Asian Games. TWI is also the world’s largest producer and distributor of sports programming and live events, distributing more than 11,000 hours annually.
