Demonstrating the support and commitment of the Russian Government, the Sochi 2014 delegation will include Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Government and Head of the Government Committee for Sochi 2014 Alexander Zhukov together with the Chairman of the Federal Agency for Physical Training and Sports Vyacheslav Fetisov. Also attending will be Sochi 2014 CEO Dmitry Chernyshenko; COO Tatiana Dobrokhvalova; Chairwoman of the Board Elena Anikina.
The delegation will also include Alexander Popov, Russian IOC member and four-time Olympic champion (swimming); Alexei Nemov, four-time Olympic champion (artistic gymnastics); Svetlana Zhurova, the current women’s Olympic champion (speed skating); and Denis Petrov, silver medal winner of the Albertville 1992 Olympic Winter Games (figure skating).
Chernyshenko said, “we are honoured to be here in Beijing, as China prepares to host the Olympic Games for the first time ever. China has demonstrated that hard work and professionalism, visionary plans guaranteed by the Government, and the passionate commitment of the nation to the Olympic Movement can lead to a historic, once-in-a-lifetime Olympic Games.”

We will continue to demonstrate that, should Sochi be chosen as host city of the 2014 Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games, every single aspect of our plan is guaranteed to be delivered in its entirety and on time, with the budget fully guaranteed by the Russian Government.
