Jill Ainscough, Philip Lemanski, Mich Stevenson, James Stewart and Martin Thomas will bring extensive business, finance and marketing experience to Sport England, as it works to sustain and increase participation in community sport in the run up to 2012, in particular through its nine Regional Sports Boards.
Mr Caborn said, "Sport England is dedicated to getting more people taking part in sport through investment in modern sporting facilities, clubs and the development of coaches and volunteers. I am delighted therefore to announce these five new appointments to the Board of Sport England which will greatly strengthen its skills, ability to invest wisely and ensure a stronger and wider degree of participation in sport."
All five appointments will run from 16 April 2007 to 15 April 2010.
