CAPCOM WINS MOTO GP GAMING RIGHTS

Capcom acquired the rights to publish a MotoGP game on the PlayStation.

The working title MotoGP ’07 should be out this autumn on the PS2. The game is likely to feature all the top riders and teams including Honda, Yamaha, Suzuki and Ducati.

Mark Beaumont, executive VP, officer and head of Capcom consumer software publishing in the Americas and Europe said, “MotoGP is the most exciting motor sport on the planet and we are really thrilled to be partnering with them.“

Carmelo Ezpeleta, CEO of Dorna Sports, MotoGP’s commercial rights holder said, “Capcom’s long tradition for innovation and pushing technological boundaries in pursuit of delivering high quality entertainment perfectly matches the core values of the MotoGP brand and we’re delighted to be partnering with them.”
