RINGS MARKETING LAUNCHED

Four leading agencies with a combined experience of delivering 70 sponsorship programmes over the last 11 Olympic Games today announced a joint venture to offer companies the complete range of consulting and activation support for potential Olympic partnerships.

Rings Marketing is a joint venture between Sportsworld, brandRapport, b-focused and Spring Worldwide.

By combining their extensive experience of operating at every Games since Barcelona, the company is in a unique position within the UK to provide an independent and experienced consulting service, focused on delivering a return on investment for its clients. Rings Marketing will work with companies initially to develop strategic solutions which satisfy their brand and business objectives, and subsequently develop and implement unrivalled activation, hospitality and legacy programmes.

Chad Lion-Cachet, CEO of world-leading event hospitality and travel company Sportsworld, explained the rationale behind the new joint venture, “to fully evaluate and then implement potential Olympic sponsorship programmes requires very specialised experience and a broad range of capabilities. Rings Marketing offers a unique solution for brands by combining the diverse and complementary skills of a team with first class Olympic expertise in the UK in the fields of strategic consultancy, activation, legacy programming and hospitality. We’re excited about the opportunity of delivering this differentiated service to brands through one-on-one workshops, observation programmes and guest hospitality experiences.”

One of the founders of this new venture is former British Olympic Association Director of Marketing Marzena Bogdanowicz, who has in depth knowledge of every Olympic sponsorship programme in the UK over the last ten years. Bogdanowicz, Managing Director of b-focused, commented, “having worked closely with brandRapport to create an Olympic programme for one of the BOA’s existing sponsors, I believe they have an exceptional understanding of the Olympic opportunity within the UK. We have already worked together to assist a number of major brands in analysing the 2012 opportunity and provided them with strategic counsel. As leaders in their respective fields, Spring Worldwide and Sportsworld were the obvious partners to offer a complete solution for clients.”

With 20 years working on Olympic commercial marketing programmes in the UK and Australia, the Chief Executive of Spring Worldwide, Ian Jarman, has a wealth of first-hand experience in the Olympic Movement and understanding how blue-chip clients can successfully leverage an Olympic involvement.

Jarman’s primary focus together with Spring’s Managing Director, Thomas Godfrey, will be utilising their proven experience in the legacy field to create sustainable CSR initiatives that deliver value to corporate clients. He commented: “The yield of sponsorships are now being determined by their ability to deliver positive CSR outcomes combined with traditional rights and benefits – Rings Marketing has the capability to successfully deliver on all of these elements!”
