It has agreed a partnership with Etihad Airways, the national airline of the United Arab Emirates, and Aldar, Abu Dhabi’s leading integrated property development company, which will see the team rebranded the Etihad Aldar Spyker Formula One team for the next three seasons.
Both the Etihad Airways and Aldar logos will have primary presenting branding on the team’s cars and driver overalls from Australia onwards.
The agreement was negotiated by Jamie Cunningham from Professional Sports International, the UAE-based sports marketing arm of the Professional Sports Group, working on behalf of Etihad Airways.
Colin Kolles, Etihad Aldar Spyker’s team principal and managing director, said: ”This drive matches Spyker’s philosophy and brand values perfectly and I hope we will both continue to progress together for many years to achieve our own respective goals.”
The deal was announced in Australia ahead of the first race of the season in Melbourne.
