DENSO GETS IN BRAND BOOST FAST LANE

Japanese technology company Denso says it hopes its extensive sponsorship of a string of top motorsport series will boost its brand appeal after unveiling an impressive portfolio for the 2007 season.

The company has involvement in Formula One, the World Rally Championship, Road Racing World Championship and, new for this year, the Super GT series.

Said Michio Fukuzaki, Denso’s senior managing director responsible for the sales group: “We hope to contribute to the development of motor sports and improve our name recognition through our sponsorships with these motor sport teams.

“Also, we are using our experience in developing products for motor sport vehicles, which drive under extreme conditions, to develop more advanced technologies."

Denso’s sponsorships include:

Formula 1 – Corporate sponsor and supplier for the Panasonic Toyota Racing team.

WRC – Corporate sponsor and supplier of the Subaru team.

Super GT – Main sponsor and supplier of the Toyota Team SARD.

Road Racing World Championship – Support for the Honda LCR team.

NASCAR – Licensing programme agreement for fuel pump products and contingency sponsor for the Nextel Cup and Craftsman Truck Series.
