French Ligue 1 club Olympique de Marseille said the €115 million takeover of the club by Canadian businessman Jack Kachkar is still on.
The takeover date has been pushed back to March 16, but the club says there are no obstacles to a deal. Kachkar released a statement saying, "An agreement is in the process of being finalised. A certain number of technical details must be finalised in the next few days."
Both Kachkar and Robert Louis-Dreyfus, the club’s present owner, have been convened to appear before the DNCG, the organisation which supervises economic control of professional clubs this week.
