EUROSPORT WINS TOP CYCLING TV RIGHTS

Pan-European broadcaster Eurosport secured the renewal of exclusive cable and satellite rights in Europe to broadcast all major Italian cycling races on Eurosport and on eurosport.com (as well as on its 6 national versions).

The package for this 2-year deal includes the Giro d'Italia (May 12th - June 3rd), the Milan-San Remo (March 24th), the Giro di Lombardia (October 20th), the Tirreno-Adriatico race (March 14th to 20th).

Eurosport’s cycling offering comprises 250 hours of TV broadcast in 2007 and includes coverage of:

The three major Cycling Tours: Tour de France, Giro (Tour of Italy), and Vuelta (Tour of Spain).

All of the great "Classics" such as Paris-Nice, Milan-San Remo, Tour of Flanders, Paris-Roubaix, Liege-Bastogne-Liege, and the Giro de Lombardia.

Twelve additional races from the Pro Tour such as Tirreno-Adriatico, Amstel Gold Race, Flèche Wallonne, Criterium du Dauphiné Libéré, Vattenfall Cyclassics, Tour of Poland, Zurich Championship and Paris-Tours.

And the UCI World Championships : the World Track Championships in Palma de Mallorca (Spain) and the World Road Championships in Stuttgart, Germany.
