MEDIA PARTNERS & SILVA AWARD SERIE A TV RIGHTS IN ASIA

Media Partners & Silva and Dentsu announced the assignment of Italian Serie A media rights for the seasons 2007-2010 in Hong Kong, China P.R. Macau, Vietnam and South Korea.

In Hong Kong Serie A will be shared by the two Pay-TV platforms for the first time, with Now Broadband TV (PCCW) broadcasting a minimum of 130 matches on the new Mega Sports Channel, and I Cable TV broadcasting 60 matches.

In China, CCTV secured the broadcast rights of a package of 60 matches and Hi Sun Technology secured the new-media rights, while the main package is yet to be awarded.

Vietnam Advertising acquired the broadcast rights for 130 matches for Vietnam.
In Macau, TDM (Teledifusao de Macau) won the exclusive rights for all the matches distributed by Media Partners & Silva and Dentsu. In South Korea, MediaCorp secured the new-media rights.

These deals were agreed as the result of the ITT (Invitation To Tender) launched with Dentsu Inc. in early January. Media Partners & Silva and Dentsu have established a partnership to co-manage and co-distribute the Asian broadcast rights of Italian Serie A 2007-2010.
