The three-year agreement is one of the most far-reaching and substantial deals in powerboating history and a groundbreaker for P1. In 2007, the P1 Portuguese Grand Prix will take centre stage over the weekend of 29th/30th September.
Already boasting several of Europe’s finest hotels and restaurants, an idyllic climate and stunning beaches, Portimão is fast establishing a reputation as a major events city. Contributing to this image is the €40 million resort of Marina de Portimão which will play host to the P1 event.
This long-term franchise relationship guarantees Portimão the coveted final European Grand Prix of the World Championship season and this will take place during the last weekend of September.
