Club chiefs say they have alerted lawyers to take action over claims the club had links to the controversial Dr Eufemiano Fuentes – the man at the centre of an investigation into a doping ring in Spain.
The club completely deny the allegations. A spokesman for the club said: “He is not linked nor has ever been linked with the medical services of FC Barcelona neither officially nor unofficially.
“Barcelona have not used any unauthorised medical practices, nor have they used any unauthorised product or substance and as a consequence the information in the article is untrue.”
