The National Lacrosse League appointed Crocmedia to manage and expand the league’s TV distribution worldwide.
The partnership will focus on securing international television rights outside of North America for the upcoming 2007 NLL season and beyond. The deal extends an existing agreement.
The league will broadcast a weekly national game, consisting of 16 weekly broadcasts, in the United States on VERSUS (formerly OLN) throughout the upcoming season, which starts on December 30.
Crocmedia director James Swanwick said: “Lacrosse is currently the fastest growing sport in the United States. “We believe that once the rest of the world is exposed to lacrosse and the NLL brand, there is no reason the sport won’t grow at the same rate as in America.”
