The Platinum sponsorship will include the provision of media centre infrastructure, WiFi connectivity and the hosting of the Women's World Cup of Golf official website.
Telkom Business will serve as the official information and communications technologies provider at the event next year, taking place in South Africa at Sun City's Gary Player Country Club 19 - 21 January 2007. It will feature 22 countries and 44 players, drawn from the LPGA Tour and Ladies European Tour, competing for a purse of US$1.2 million.
The sponsorship is another extension of Telkom's investment in golf in South Africa. The company also sponsors the Telkom Women's Classic on the Ladies African Tour, as well as two events on the men's Sunshine Tour - the Telkom PGA Championship and Telkom PGA Pro-Am.
