FIFA MAY INTERVENE IN NIGERIAN SPONSORSHIP ROW

FIFA may intervene to help resolve the battle over which company has won title sponsorship of the Nigerian Premier League.

The Nigerian Football League board agreed a deal last month with telecom company MTN worth $17.6 Million over the next four years.

But rival telecom company Globacom, says it still has a title sponsorship deal for the league, agreed with the Nigerian Football League L's parent body, the Nigerian Football Association.

FIFA is reported to have asked the Nigerian Football Association for details of the matter.
