The agreement will enable DAGOC to receive a comprehensive selection of sports imagery throughout the 15-day event, which begins 1 December 2006, including unhindered access to the company’s sporting images over the past 12 months. In addition, Getty Images will also undertake a significant number of specially-commissioned photo assignments to capture various events and activities during the Games.
Marc Webbon, director, sales, Getty Images said, “as part of the partnership, we’ll be supporting the Games with a team of 39, including 22 specialist sports photographers. We’ll also provide DAGOC with our Media Manager Service (MMS) to ensure the smooth management of all digital assets throughout this exciting period.”
