Le Lay, 39, joined Eurosport in 1993 and launched the sports rights sales agency as well as the eurosport.com websites. In 2001 he also took on the responsibility for Eurosportnews, the sports information channel. Head of Sports Acquisitions for the TF1 Group, Le Lay was then appointed Eurosport's Managing Director of Broadcasting in September 2003.
The Board of Directors also appointed Jacques Raynaud as Vice-Chairman of Eurosport and Chairman and CEO of Eurosales, Eurosport's international advertising sales agency. Raynaud will now have a seat on Eurosport's Board of Directors.
Raynaud, 40, joined Eurosport in 1994 as Area Manager responsible for the distribution of Eurosport in Central and Eastern Europe. Appointed Director of Distribution and Development in January 2001, he was then promoted to Deputy Managing Director, responsible for the marketing and distribution of Eurosport and Eurosportnews. Managing Director since September 2003, Raynaud has overall responsibility for the Distribution, Advertising and Development of the Eurosport Group.
Jacques Behar, Managing Director and CFO, will be responsible for Eurosport's newly-developed activities in the organisation of sporting events on top of the FIA World Touring Car Championship (FIA WTCC).
Behar, 51, joined Eurosport in 1991 as Chief Financial Officer and became Deputy Managing Director of Eurosport in 2001. Since 2003, he has been Managing Director in charge of Finance and Administration and Chairman and CEO of KSO Ltd., the company in charge of the FIA WTCC.
