BANGLADESH CRICKET PRESIDENT RESIGNS

Ali Asghar, president of the Bangladesh Cricket Board resigned after a disagreement with the government.

He said he had resigned because the government was delaying signing a deal with communications and marketing company Nimbus that won a tender for the Bangladeshi cricket rights.

Nimbus Communications Limited last week won a tender to sell the board’s marketing rights for six years until 2012. But the $56.88 million deal is yet to be signed.
