MotoGP chiefs have confirmed Qatar will host the start of next season’s world championship.
The Middle East state will host the race on March 10, with Spain’s Jerez hosting the second race two weeks later.
The 18-race calendar originally had Spain hosting the opener.
Other date changes from August’s provisional calendar sees date changes for the races in Turkey (now April 22) and China (May 6).
