Under the deal, 40 BBL games a year will be broadcast live in prime-time on one of MKTV's channels on the Sky satellite platform.
MKTV will also contribute £2.5m to fund BBL development posts and help the league to secure a main sponsor. Since last season the BBL has lost three of its professional teams with Brighton, Birmingham and the London Towers all dropping out. Two teams have joined, London United and Worcester Wolves.
