The German sporting goods maker said it bought the rights from RBK Sport CZ and RBK Sport SR, Reebok’s distributors in the two countries. Adidas will be the exclusive distributor of Reebok products in both countries from January 1 next year.
Adidas is buying out the distributors of its Reebok brand, which it acquired in January for €3.1 billion. It bought the distribution rights for Russia and China earlier this year. The Reebok buyout strategy is expected to create annual revenue synergies of at least €200 million by 2009. The sum is part of the €500 million annual revenue synergies Adidas has already predicted via the Reebok takeover from 2009 onwards.
