RECORD COVERAGE FOR WOMEN'S RUGBY WORLD CUP

The International Rugby Board says the Women’s Rugby World Cup 2006, which kicks off on 31 August in Edmonton, Canada, will be shown on more television stations than ever before.

Host broadcaster, The Score, will be providing extensive coverage of all the key matches in the 12 team Tournament, including the opening match, the semi-finals and the final at the Commonwealth Stadium.

Broadcasters from North America, South America, Europe, Asia, Oceania, the Middle East and Africa will be covering the Tournament, which consists of 30 matches spread across five match days.

A number of broadcasters will also be showing extensive highlights programmes.

For the first time the IRB will be streaming every match live on www.rwcwomens.com on pay per view.
