Shamed Italian soccer giant Juventus has lost its latest bid to return to Serie A after being demoted as punishment for match-fixing.
The club, who won last season’s Serie A, were demoted, fined, stripped of their title and deducted 17 points after being embroiled in the scandal which shocked Italian soccer.
But hopes of overturning the punishment were dashed followed meetings with the Italian soccer federation the FIGC and Italian Olympic Committee in the latest appeal stage.
Club chiefs say they will meet today to discuss their next step.
