BHAMJEE QUITS FIFA EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE

A FIFA Executive Committee member who admitted selling World Cup tickets at three times their face value to fans has quit from all his key sports administration positions.

According to reports, Ismail Bhamjee from Botswana resigned his post on FIFA’s rule-making board and also as an honorary member of CAF – African soccer’s governing body. He will step down as president of the Confederation of Southern Africa Football Associations in October.
Bhamjee ran into trouble after selling tickets to the group stage match between England and Trinidad & Tobago during this summer’s FIFA World Cup in Germany.
He admitted his wrong-doing and left Germany in disgrace.
