AUSTRALIAN CORPORATES INVEST MORE IN SPONSORSHIP

The inaugural ‘Sponsorship Outlook’ industry study, conducted by the Australasian Sponsorship Marketing Association and S-COMM Australia, reveals an Australian sponsorship industry that is maturing nicely.

The survey found the Australian industry compares well with Europe and the US, performing better on share of marketing budget and measurement, however lagging in leverage investment.

The study found corporate sponsors are now spending more than expected, with an average of 20% of total marketing budgets going to sponsorship and 29% of respondents indicating they are likely to increase their sponsorship spend this year.
