SETANTA SHARES PREMIER LEAGUE IN US

Setanta Sports agreed a deal to sublicense the rights for more than 90 English Premier League matches in the 2006-07 season from Fox Soccer Channel.

Under the deal, Setanta, which is carried by DirecTV and GlobecastTV, will broadcast 62 live matches on Saturdays, 28 on Sundays and some midweek games.

Setanta will start its broadcasts with Sheffield United v Liverpool on August 19 followed by Aston Villa at Arsenal in the first match in the Emirates stadium.
