It acquired the live and exclusive English-language rights to a selection of Major League Soccer matches, men and women's international matches and international friendlies in a deal that runs until 2010.
The Fox Soccer Channel's will broadcast one Saturday night MLS Game of the Week. As part of the agreement, MLS matches will also be broadcast by Fox Soccer Channel's sister networks Fox Sports en EspaC1ol, Fox Sports Latin America, Fox Sports Middle East and Fox Sports Africa.
